Security researchers have unveiled new "Plug and Pwn" attacks that abuse the Windows Plug and Play feature to compel the operating system into installing insecure or vulnerable vendor software, ultimately granting attackers SYSTEM privileges. These exploits, demonstrated at DEF CON 34, can occur with no user interaction, without a logged-in user, and even remotely without physical USB hardware.
